Eligibility
- All participants must be an enrolled Stanford, Berkeley, or Santa Clara student.
- Students must be working towards an undergraduate degree or have received their undergraduate diplomas after Jan 1st, 2007. However, in all cases the student must still be enrolled at Stanford, UC Berkeley, or Santa Clara University.
- Please form teams of three or four to enter this event.
- The ideal team will be balanced in areas of study, technical expertise and business acumen.
Judging
Submitted summaries will be reviewed by a panel of VC judges. The top 3 overall submissions will be chosen for the finals. In addition, the top submission from each school, excluding the top 3 overall entries, will also be selected for the finals. The 6 finalist teams will be notified by Jan 17th, 2008 via email.
The Finals and Prizes
The Finals: The six selected finalist teams will present their ideas in a round-table discussion format to a panel of representatives from each venture capital firm. Teams will be expected to identify and present a persuasive argument for a potential investment area. Each team will have 15 minutes for their presentation followed by a brief Q&A session. Presentations will occur 7:00pm, Jan 25th 2007 at the Amidzad Plug and Play Campus in Sunnyvale (please confirm time and location on the website). There will be a reception event afterwards sponsored by Lehman Brothers VC.
Total prizes of more than $6,000 will be given to the winning and runner-up teams.
